About this vintage design furniture
This vintage set of two high-quality lamps from Staff features half-silvered opal glass spheres mounted on chromed metal cylinders. These lamps were produced during the 1960s in Germany and were designed by Motoko Ishii. Between 1962 and 1968 the Japanese lighting designer worked for Staff and other European lighting manufacturers. Later she founded her own design company in Tokyo. - Each lamp is suitable for E27 standard bulbs (maximum 60W).

About the designer
Motoko ISHII
Motoko Ishii is a renowned Japanese lighting designer born in Tokyo in 1937. She graduated from Musashino Art University in 1960 and began her career as a graphic and advertising designer before concentrating on lighting design.
