Pair of vintage Chinese porcelain Phenix birds

Superb pair of Phenix Birds in early 20th-century Chinese porcelain with polychrome enameling, brilliant glazes in shades of turquoise blue and Aubergine. Each base (unglazed on the underside, biscuit-style) is numbered and stamped (see photo). The Phoenixes are of the finest quality, with delicate workmanship, poetic details and detailed tongues.
