About this vintage design furniture
Swedish String wall unit designed by Kajsa and Nils "Nisse" Strinning for String design AB in 1949. This is an original old system from the 1960s. In 1954, this model (String) won a gold medal at the Triennale in Milan. This wall system can be arranged according to slogan and consists of: three long rare standing metal side brackets, two teak storage cabinets with sliding doors (dimensions per cabinet h x w x d = 42 x 78 x 31 cm, two large oak shelves (30 x 78 cm) and eight narrow oak shelves (20 x 78 cm). Given its age, this vintage String wall system is still in original and good condition; it has some discoloration (see photos). The price is for the set as pictured (without the dressing). The overall dimensions are: h x w x d = 217 x 159 x 31.5 cm. Source: catalog good living, 1960 (see photo). Marked: String made in Sweden (see photo).
