Vintage "Alky" armchair in aluminum and metal by Giancarlo Piretti for Castelli, Italy 1970

This model alky lounge chair was designed by giancarlo piretti for the renowned castelli publishing house. This Italian designer studied at the instituto statale d'arte before starting his career at anonima castelli. For more than two decades, he has created a range of furniture, including the plia chair, the alky armchair and the dorsal, which have become design icons. His creations are both functional and aesthetic, and have been widely recognized throughout the design world. "alky" is typical of 70's design, part of the space age universe.
