Vintage teak armchair by Hartmut Lohmeyer, Germany 1960

An incredibly elegant designer armchair! In the 1950s and 1960s, the German designer Hartmut Lohmeyer designed a series of some very beautiful pieces of furniture. These pieces of furniture, often marketed by the Wilkhahn company, now belong to the real German Design Classics. Not only in their home country, but all over the world, these models are now known and loved by enthusiasts. They praise the design in itself, which has a phenomenal elegance, it is striking that there is not a line wrong or too much present, Mid Century Design at its very best! The use of materials is also very beautiful, full teak wood as a base and a very nice seating area on top, the model also has a very high seating comfort. This chair has been completely restored by our craftsmen, when we bought this chair it was not much more than a shadow of what it once was. It has been restored to a more beautiful than new condition, using the finest materials and the best craftsmen, the new upholstery is just as sleek, if not even more beautiful than the original. The entire filling has also been replaced by the best foam in the right amount, so that the original looks have been preserved, but the chair has a contemporary seating comfort. The following material has been used: The fabric is Keymer Richwool color number 25. Richwool is an environmentally friendly upholstery fabric.
