Pair of vintage daybeds by Ingmar Relling for Ekornes, Norway 1960

A true code of Norwegian minimalism and purity, this Scandinavian Svane set of two teak daybeds will accompany you day and night. The Svane daybed or sofa was designed by Ingmar Relling for Ekornes and manufactured in the 1960s-1970s. It has a sleeping function when fully unfolded, and also features a compartment for sheets and blankets (here only in one of the beds). The side table moves smoothly up and down and has a specific stopping point. The solid teak structure combined with a new natural wool covering in a light ashen hue gives an impression of simplicity and elegance at the same time, a classic of modern Scandinavian design.
