About this vintage design furniture

Extremely elegant rosewood modular shelving unit with a 5 cabinets, one of the highest quality Danish mid-century rosewood wall units designed by Rud Thygesen and Johny Sorensen made by Hansen and Guldborg in the 1960s. It features brilliant carpentry and rich rosewood grain. It consists of: - a cabinet with sliding doors H: 50 / W: 90 / D: 40 cm  - dresser/chest with five drawers; H: 49,5/W: 90/D: 40 cm deep (top 2 drawers height 4cm, the rest is 9.5 cm high), - Secretaire/bar cabinet with adjustable shelves and tray; H: 40 / W: 90/ D: 30 cm,  - a cabinet with sliding doors and adjustable shelf; H: 40/W: 90 / D: 30 cm  - a cabinet with glass doors and adjustable shelf; H: 40/W: 90 / D: 30 cm  - 4 shelves 22 cm deep - 4 wooden rails 209 cm long - brass hardware This beautiful bookcase is entirely modular, all the parts can be interchanged and set up upon ones will, using easy system brass hangers and pins placed into solid wood rails. The shown set ut is just an example ( we believe the most useful one ) We have considered that the bar cabinet can work as a very smart drop front desk, or can be used for both functions. The wall unit has been checked by our team. We have made sure that all drawers and doors work properly. On many occasions, we have to sand down the most used parts (if they are scratched badly). Here we have only cleaned the wood and the original varnish was refreshed with professional compounds. We leave minor signs of use that do not spoil the aesthetic and only confirm it is originality. We try to bring furniture back to its best look, still considering they are 60 years old. Clients from all around the world have trusted our work and its fruits. If you are new to vintage furniture, you can contact us for any possible explanations and close-ups of the piece.  Fantastic vintage condition with minor signs of wear, like small a light chip on the glass door, little scratches on the tops, and slight differences in veneer colour. Rosewood is very reactive to light, parts that are more exposed to UV radiation fade significantly faster. The upper cabinet (with wooden doors) features a functional opening, for example, for cables. Reference : 285882
