About this vintage design furniture
A 1960s tallboy / chest of drawers designed by John and Sylvia Reid for Stag as part of the stunning Fineline Range. The chest consists of 5 drawers in a honeyed birch veneer featuring chrome handles and legs with an ebony rim base. The piece has satinised steel lip handles and sits on original metal legs.
This range was only produced for a short period between 1961 and 1962.A very desirable piece, in good, clean unrestored condition.

Condition Report:
Good condition, the front drawers and the side beech wood are in great condition, the interior wood is in excellent condition, the top beech has some marks commensurate with age please see images for clarity.

About the designer
John REID
John and Sylvia Reid were a British design couple known for their contribution to modern design in the UK in the 1950s and 1960s. John Reid was born in 1918 in Newcastle upon Tyne and studied sculpture at the city's School of Fine Arts. Sylvia Reid, born in Glasgow in 1917, studied painting at the Glasgow School of Art.
