Aldo Rossi and Luca Meda Set of 4 "Teatro" Chairs for Molteni, Italy, 1980.
The gorgeous "Teatro" Dining Chairs were designed by Aldo Rossi and his colleague Luca Media for Molteni in the early 1980s. The profile rewards close examination: the legs widen gradually toward the floor, the back end in a stylized curl. Classical references give them a timeless luxury. The finish on this set of six is a rare black lacquer with white leather sitting.
Very good vintage conditions.
Slight signs of age and use.

Aldo Rossi (1931-1997) was an Italian designer and architect of international renown. Born in Milan, he studied architecture at the Milan Polytechnic, where he later taught for several years.
