About this vintage design furniture
These “Piumino” chairs are an exceptional model of the trio of Milanese architects, known throughout the world for their ingenious extensions. The shape and size are the most captivating elements, but thanks to the architectural know-how of the designers, even the construction of the chairs does not disappoint. The chairs are molded in foam and upholstered in folded soft cognac synthetic leather. The foam and leather materials ensure extreme seating comfort. Unlike the trio's iconic "Joe Sofa" (in the shape of a baseball glove), the "Duvet" avoids looking kitschy despite its exaggerated size and design. De Pas, D'Urbino and Lomazzi were part of the "Radical Design" movement, which dominated Italian avant-garde design and architecture in the late 1960s and early 1970s. This impressive club chair design was created around this time, which led to the enduring success of the designers. De Pas, D'Urbino and Lomazzi designed these cognac leather pieces for the Italian manufacturer Dall'Oca in the 1970s. Condition: The item has small signs of use.
