About this vintage design furniture
GIJS BAKKER FOLDING CHAIR VF2 CASTELIJN 1976
Folding chair, model VF2, designed by Gijs Bakker in 1976 for Castelijn.
Early design by the founder of the famous Droog Design movement.
It is made of laminated beech wood with ash veneer and cane webbing. The chair is made up of 3 arches, each with the same radius. Like this the chair folds very nicely. Ingenious design.
It is in very good original condition, just some color difference in the cane.
