About this vintage design furniture
Jos De Mey studied interior design at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent and became a teacher at the same academy. In the fifties and sixties De Mey had his own practice of interior design and color advice. In this period he designed furniture for Belgian companies Luxus and Van Den Berghe Pauvers. De Mey’s designs have a high quality standard that perfects his work in quality, material choice and details. This honey-colored sideboard was manufactured in the 1960s by Van den Berghe Pauvers Gent, Belgium. It has plenty of storage space and 4 hidden drawers inside. The high legs give this sideboard an elegant look. labeled Van Den Berghe Pauvers and a quality veneer inside.
