About this vintage design furniture
Vase made in Carstens Tönnieshof factory.
The rough surface of the object is decorated with a characteristic Fat Lava technique, which is based on using a thick glaze with an appearance and structure similar to solidified lava.
This type of glaze was often used by German artists and manufacturers of art pottery .
West German ceramic art is known for its varied forms and distinctive colors.
Vase is in original condition and has some minor damage as seen in the picture.
