Set of 6 British vintage teak and leather dining chairs by Alfred Cox

ALFRED COX BRITISH DESIGN MID-CENTURY BLACK LEATHER TEAK DINING/LOUNGE CHAIRS x 6 Alfred Cox mid-century dining or lounge chairs. Gorgeous generous proportioned comfortable black leather seated and wonderful teak wood dining chairs. Made by the renowned British Designer Alfred Cox. Alfred Cox was a well-known cabinet maker in post-war Britain. Most of his items were sold through Harrods, Heals of London, and Maples. His furniture is high quality and the best wood used, working mainly with walnut and teak, he designed many items of furniture that are much sought after today. These chairs were most probably upholstered in the 1970s and the maker's label was re-attached on the underside of the seats. Circa late 1950s, made in London, UK. All the chairs are in great vintage condition and have good solid sturdy legs. Dimensions (cm): Carver - H - 77cm W - 55cm D - 48cm Standard chairs - H - 77cm W- 51cm D -49cm Condition: The Carver is in excellent vintage condition, with good solid sturdy legs.  A very light cleaner was applied to the leather and the teak to retain all vintage charm and history. 1 standard chair has slight previous small repairs on top of the leg, which does not affect the strength. There may be some minor marks as to be expected for its age. Reference : 260686
