Vintage Danish lounge chair GE-88 by Aage Pedersen for GETAMA Denmark 1960s. Danish modern lounge chair model GE88 designed by the owner of the GETAMA furniture factory Aage Pedersen. This easy chair is made in solid teak with Epeda spring cushions. Original wool fabric. The GE 88 are stylish, elegant and very comfortable. GETAMA is a well known Danish manufacturer of Mid-Century Modern furniture and have had a long lasting collaboration with architect Hans J. Wegner. They are still producing Wegner's furniture today. The upholstery shows signs of wear and is faded. Spring cushions are in good shape. Wood is cleaned, oiled and polished. Solid construction. Reference : 243709

About the designer

Aage PEDERSEN

Aage Pedersen was a Danish designer born in 1906 and died in 1983. He studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts before beginning his career as an industrial designer in the 1930s. He worked for several Danish companies, including the Danish furniture company Fritz Hansen, where he designed many popular pieces of furniture in the 1950s and 1960s.
