About this vintage design furniture
Dining table design by Carlo Scarpa for Cassina. Made of solid brushed steel base connected with brass socket screws. The top has a floating glass top with polished edges. With the Doge table, Carlo Scarpa takes an innovative approach to shapes and sizes, oriented toward an image of strength and character and facilitated by the author’s extraordinary ability to combine materials of different scale. This table is designed in 1968, This is a later production of Cassina in a great condition (nearly new).

About the designer
Carlo SCARPA
Carlo Scarpa was an Italian architect and designer, born on June 2, 1906 in Venice and died on November 28, 1978 in Sendai, Japan. He studied architecture at the Venice Academy of Fine Arts and began his career as a designer for the Venini artistic glassworks.
