Model 1391 (big globe) table lamp designed by Motoko Ishii in 1970’s and manufactured by Staff Leuchten, Germany. This unique Space Age lamp is provided with a large glass shade (half mirror and half transparent) supported by a chrome plated cylindric base. The lamp is in exceptional vintage condition and in perfect working order, ready to use. About the designer
Motoko ISHII
Motoko Ishii is a renowned Japanese lighting designer born in Tokyo in 1937. She graduated from Musashino Art University in 1960 and began her career as a graphic and advertising designer before concentrating on lighting design.
