These are iconic stool designed by Jean Prouvé for Lycée Fabert in Metz, France around 1950. This minimalist stool has a tubular grey metal base with three legs, holding a round wooden seat. The Lycée Fabert is a senior high school in Metz, Moselle department, Lorraine, France. The school, in the city centre, was the first lycée in Metz. Sold individually, the price is per piece. Each piece remains in good, vintage condition with notable wear consistent with age and use, preserving a wonderful patina.

About the designer
Jean PROUVE
1901 - 1984Jean Prouvé (1901-1984) was a French designer and builder. Born in Nancy, he began working in his father's iron workshop before studying art and design at the École de Nancy. In the 1920s, he began designing metal furniture and founded his own company, Ateliers Jean Prouvé, in 1923.
