About this vintage design furniture
This beautiful hanging lamp, 'Cipola' or 'Onion' model, was designed by Alessandro Pianon for Vistosi in Italy. The orange 'onion' shape is made of hand-blown Murano glass. The interior is made of white opal glass which gives a nice warm light. Two different sizes and several colors have been produced; this is the smaller version with a diameter of 35 cm (model L51). It is in very good condition with minor signs of age and use. The lower rim is in excellent condition, the upper rim has some chipping due to the glass being cut during the blowing process. We also have a second lamp available in a slightly lighter orange color, see our other listing for this piece.
