About this vintage design furniture
Unique One-Off Vintage 1930’S Ww2 Stirling Airways Converted Bomber Pilot Seat Chair. Remarkably historical pilot seat from the cockpit of an original World War II Stirling Aircraft which had been converted to a bomber during the end of WW2. The seat is of the ‘Rumbolds’ design which was used in Imperial Airways which eventually became British Airways. Made up of extremely light airframe alloy with steel webbed seat, each arm fitted with the original aircraft controls adorned with ebonised knobs. A quirky piece of historical British Aviation memorabilia. Sympathetically restored and reupholstered seating in Ink blue fluted leather with fitted head pads.
