Vintage adjustable desk lamp in honey color, Italy 1960

Italian table lamp from the 1960s. Clearly influenced by the space age of the time, it offers a very distinctive design and functionality. The adjustable, honey-colored lacquered spotlight is anchored to a metal piece that can be adjusted in height by sliding along the axis of the piece. From the spotlight itself, a spiral cable runs to the base of the lamp, which in turn has two other sockets. From the base runs a cable with a switch and an original plug.What a great trick! It seems like 60 years ago, designers thought of these two extra outlets to charge our cell phone or iPad while we are comfortably seated on the couch. No more drama of long charging cables thanks to a vintage design.... Incredible, isn't it?
