Vintage church tabernacle cabinet in oak wood
About this vintage design furniture
Sophisticated, respected and solid tabernacle from a church. Made entirely of oak, only the door is solid steel. A tabernacle is a fixed, locked box or cabinet in which, in some Christian churches, the Eucharist was "reserved" (stored). This one is of course empty. The upper part rests on a matching oak pedestal. The shape of this tabernacle is beautiful, with an original handmade wood carving in excellent condition. The tabernacle is solidly constructed, like a safe. It has a steel front door with a simple lock that opens with a key. The door is also nicely decorated. This is a unique piece from the 1920s, in excellent condition and original.
