About this vintage design furniture
Scandinavian chair “Mademoiselle” designed by Ilmari Tapiovaara for Asko in the 1960s. Ilmari Tapiovaara designed various chairs, including the well-known “Mademoiselle” chair. He designed this chair in 1956, after which it was produced at Asko. Because the Mademoiselle was so popular, other manufacturers also started making these chairs. This is an original Mid-Century copy of Asko from the sixties. The condition is still good, normal traces of use and wear, scratches, small dents, some paint damage. Material: wood (black). Dimensions: h x w x d 90 x 55 x 64 cm and the seat height is 40 cm. Material: Birch wood. Marked: Asko (see photos).
