About this vintage design furniture
Wall lamp ’Majora’, designed by the Bauhaus member Wilhelm Wagenfeld for Peill & Putzler 1952-54. Opaline glass with satin finish. Fixed on a large brass plate. The ’Majora’ was originally designed without the brass plate, this version has been produced for public buildings, these lamps are from an old school building (we have 3 in stock, the price is for 1 lamp). Good condition, slight wear on the brass parts. In full working order (we recommend professional installation). Length 23 12" (59.5 cm), width 8 910" (22.5 cm), depth 5 110" (13 cm). Dimensions of the shade: length 17 14" (44 cm), width 6 12" (16.8 cm), depth 4 45" (12 cm), weight 3 kg.

Wilhelm WAGENFELD
1900 - 1990Wilhelm Wagenfeld was a German industrial designer who was born on April 15, 1900 in Bremen and died on May 28, 1990 in Stuttgart. He is best known for his collaborations with the Jenaer Glaswerk Schott & Genossen glassworks and for his functional, minimalist design.
