A wonderful original set of 4 model 316 dining chairs designed by Peter Hvidt & Orla Morlgaard Nielsen circa 1957 for Soborg Mobler of Denmark. A classic Danish design with the generous curved back and angled stretchers – super comfy and very strong. Excellent original condition.

Peter HVIDT & Orla MOLGAARD NIELSEN
Hvidt & Mølgaard Nielsen is a mid-20th-century Danish design duo consisting of Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard Nielsen. Peter Hvidt was born in Copenhagen in 1916 and studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts before working as a designer for various companies. Orla Mølgaard Nielsen was born in Copenhagen in 1907 and also studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, before working as an architect and designer.
