This iconic swivelling lounge chair was designed by Arne Jacobsen 1958 for the SAS Royal Copenhagen Hotel in Denmark and is one of the most famous chairs in the world recognized by design lovers in all countries as the Egg chair. It is the classical midcentury Scandinavian designer furniture which made Danish furniture design famous on all continents. Arne Jacobsen knew how to combine materials and shapes to make iconic furniture that are now more popular than ever before. Danish design at its best. Produced by Fritz Hansen as Mod. No 3317 in 2008. This one features a fiber glass shell with its original patinated cognac brown leather upholstery, four star aluminum base, swiveling and reclining function. Marked with Original manufacturers Label Republic of Fritz Hansen, produced 2008.
