About this vintage design furniture
String shelf designed in 1949 by Nils Strinning. The system consists of five metal ladders in black with seven shelves, a magazine rack, a container with sliding doors and a container with three internal solid wood drawers. The surfaces are veneered in teak. This original String shelf is much better processed and of a better quality than many other wall shelves from the 50s60s. Quality features: – high quality veneer – 2cm thick shelves made of woodcore plywood, to prevent bending – stable shelf holders, that compensate slight unevenness – stable ladders – Made in Sweden, manufacturer: String Design, designer: Nils Strinning (branding on the rear)Working height 73 cm Shelves: W 78 cm, H 2 cm, D 30 cm Container: W 78 cm, H 42 cm, D 30 cm Magazine rack: W 78 cm, H 18 cm, D 35 cm Good restored condition with slight signs of usage.
