About this vintage design furniture
Space Age period very rare ‘Diabolo’ chair designed by Ben Swildens and manufactured for Stabin - N.V. Woerden in the, 1960s, Netherlands. The base of this chair is made of fiberglass, inside the upper ‘cone’ is a fiberglass seating shell covered with redorange furniture fabric. This chair is completely in it’s Original condition. Swildens is very well known because of the three desks he designed in 1966 for the Paris headquarters of Peugeot commonly "Office Max Ingrand", near the Champs Elysées. His designs where always very experimental both in shape and use of material.
