About this vintage design furniture
This is the iconic series of pendant luminaires by Swedish designer Carl Thores, called "Trava". The original idea behind these lamps was that you could take them apart and rebuild them to your liking. This is the medium size version with the opac strip in the centre. Made of gold-colored brushed aluminum. A few scratches like in the last picture. No bumps or curves. Standard E27 socket. The real name of the designer known as Carl Thore is Sigurd Lindkvist, and he was born in 1916 in Åmal in Swedish Dalsland. After working for a lighting company called Luko, Sigurd Lindkvist joined Granhaga Metallindustri in 1961, for which he designed luminaires and was also sales manager, remaining with the company until his retirement around 1981. Lindkvist adopted the pseudonym Carl Thore for his Granhaga luminaire designs on the spur of the moment, when he presented the luminaires to a customer who asked him for the designer's identity. "Carl Thore," Lindkvist, his two middle names, slipped away.
