A Model FD 144 easy chair designed in 1953 by Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen. Made by France & Daverkosen in Denmark. The frame is made of lacquered ash, with the original cushions reupholstered in a pink fabric.

About the designer
Peter HVIDT & Orla MOLGAARD NIELSEN
Hvidt & Mølgaard Nielsen is a mid-20th-century Danish design duo consisting of Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard Nielsen. Peter Hvidt was born in Copenhagen in 1916 and studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts before working as a designer for various companies. Orla Mølgaard Nielsen was born in Copenhagen in 1907 and also studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, before working as an architect and designer.
