About this vintage design furniture
Mezzoracolo table or floor lamp by Italian architect Gae Aulenti, executed by Artemide. This is the smaller version, but it is still 67 cm high. A large white globe in opal glass sits atop a cylindrical cobalt blue-coated metal base. It offers the possibility to switch on off the lightbulbs in the globe and the base independently of each other. The lamp is described in the Repertorio del Design Italiano 1950-2000 by Giuliana Gramigna on Page 164 (1969).
