G Plan Teak Dining Chairs A set of six Victor Wilkins for G Plan teak dining chairs from the Fresco range. Newly reupholstered in thick, durable yet soft upholstery fabric. The fabric is a mid grey with a herringbone pattern. Each chair has sculpted tapered legs and cross shapes stretchers. Danish design. Made in the UK, Circa 1960s. Victor Wilkins was a British designer who worked for the British furniture manufacturer G-Plan. Many of his designs were influenced by the Danish designs of Ib Kofod Larsen who was also working for G-Plan. Victor Wilkins showed that British design could easily compare to the Danish design of the mid-century. Dimensions (cm): 49 W x 76 H x 52 D. (47 seat height). Condition: In very good condition. The teak frames show signs of light use as expected.

About the designer

Victor B. WILKINS

Charles Victor Wilkins (1893-1969) was an American industrial designer known for his work in the 1920s and 1930s. He was born in Brooklyn, New York, and studied at the Art Students League of New York and the New York School of Fine and Applied Art.
