Set of 4 vintage chairs in leatherette and metal, 1950-60s

Set of 4 modern vintage mid-century chairs, designed in the spirit of the Reconstruction Era in the spirit of Jacques Hitier between the 1950s and 1960s. (Not sold individually.) The chairs have conical, black and metallic compass feet with black and round tips. The seats and backrests have a unique shape. They are upholstered in a textured, yellow "limoncello" vinyl imitation leatherette with a thin black border on the backrests. The chairs are in very good condition. They are comfortable, solid and stable with some traces and marks of use and time that can be expected in view of the age and colour of the seats. There is an old minor snag that must have been previously repaired on the right edge of the seat of a chair (see picture no. 5.). The legs are in their original rust-free condition and have simply been cleaned to preserve the original patina. The seats and seat backs have aged slightly over time, creating a beautiful patina, but have retained their lustrous, succulent colour. Depending on the angle at which you look at the chairs, the yellow cover upholstery looks like an animal skin, with the appearance of fake fur, crushed velvet sheen, giving the chairs that groovy, 50-60s style (see image n 7.) Their design, although classic "vintage" mid-century design, also evokes a futuristic "space age" look, consistent with the spirit of the time they were produced. ~Width: 41 cm ~ Depth: 48 cm ~ Height: 88 cm ~ Seat height: 43 cm
