About this vintage design furniture

The "Kina" opaline glass and brass pendant light was created by Bent Karlby in the mid 1950s and came in several versions and sizes. This is one of the larger and older models, 40 cm tall shade. The opaline glass is in great condition and fully intact without any damage even along the edges. The brass parts show patina as seen in the photos. A very versatile pendant light that has high decorative value as well as a soft and pleasant functional light. It takes a standard E27 light bulb. Bent Karlby was a Danish architect, designer and member of the resistance. He was educated at the Technical School in Aarhus, in 1932.
