Jan J.M. HOOGERVORST

The lights designed by Hoogervorst are differentiated by pure lines. He designed several lamps, wall lamps and hanging lights, but also beautiful floor lamps. During his career, Hoogervorst worked for the manufacturer Anvia. Biography Jan J.M. Hoogervorst was born in the Netherlands in 1918. He studied architecture, but he was really interested in painting and illustration. After the occupation, the young man showed a great interest for design: he reproduced in paintings the furniture he saw in catalogues. In the early 1950s, he started a long collaboration with Anvia, a Dutch manufacturer of furniture and lamps. Hoogervorst loved to travel the world to develop his creativity. He is not exactly known in France, but he really participated to the development of light design in the Netherlands.
