Set of 4 dining chairs designed by John and Sylvia Reid for Stag in the 1950’s. Solid teak backrests sits on steel frames supporting a padded upholstered seat. Dimensions (cm, approx); Height: 79 Width: 42 Depth: 42 There has been a basic repair to the corner of one of the teak back rests otherwise they are in great condition for their year.

About the designer
John REID
John and Sylvia Reid were a British design couple known for their contribution to modern design in the UK in the 1950s and 1960s. John Reid was born in 1918 in Newcastle upon Tyne and studied sculpture at the city's School of Fine Arts. Sylvia Reid, born in Glasgow in 1917, studied painting at the Glasgow School of Art.
