The creations of Kaare Klint are recognizable by their simple curves, their clean lines and their noble materials as the mahogany of Cuba. The "Safari" armchair is one of his greatest pieces. It inspired numerous designers worldwide! Biography Kaare Klint was born in 1888 in Denmark. He studied painting at the Polytechnical School of Frederiksberg then he studied architecture and the design à the technical school of Copenhagen. In 1920, Klint founded his own studio of design and architecture. Four years later, he created the Furniture department at the Royal Academy of Arts in Copenhagen. Kaare Klint taught at the Academy of Arts in Copenhagen. Klint systematized an approach centered on man. It permitted to define the bases of Danish modernism. Kaare Klint established standards around the construction and created a certain shape of rationalization of the arrangement. Without him the Danish design would not be what it is today.
