Roger SPRUNGER

Sprunger designed numerous pieces of furniture for Herman Miller, including the "Action Office" collection of office furniture, which was one of the first modular furniture systems for office environments. He also designed the "Abak" chair in collaboration with French designer Jean Prouvé.

Apart from his work at Herman Miller, Sprunger also designed furniture for other companies, including Dunbar and Brayton International. He has been praised for his innovative use of materials, such as glass and chrome, and for his elegant, modern style.

Throughout his career, Sprunger has received numerous awards for his work, including a Cooper Union Industrial Design Award and a Gold Medal from the American Institute of Architects. His work continues to be considered influential in modern furniture design.
