Bruno Gecchelin is an Italian architect who was really prolific in a variety of areas such as motor vehicle accessories, furniture and household equipment.
Passionate about all the facets of design, he created more than hundred appliance models. In harmony with technological and polyfunctional innovation, his realizations are elegant but also discreet. The different ranges of lamps he designed are still considered as references. Biography Bruno Gecchelin was born in Italy in 1939. He studied architecture at the famous School of Polytechnic in Milan. Once he graduated, he designed decorative objects for great companies such as Indesit and Gruppo Industriale Busnelli. Then, he worked at the design agency of Olivetti during 15 years. In 1974, he founded his own agency and created all a range of accessories for the Fiat Panda. He designed pieces for kitchen and realized several lamps lines for Arteluce-Flos, Venini Skipper and O-Luce. He taught at the European Institute of Design. During his entire career, he received prestigious prizes including three Compasso d’Oro and the iF Product Design Award in Hanover.
