About this vintage design furniture
A set of eight vintage 1960s high back Oxford chairs by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen.
This classic modernist design was created in the early 1960s for St Catherine's College, Oxford University, for use in the banqueting hall. These stately swivel chairs were reserved for the professors.
They have been carefully restored. The padding has been entirely replaced with new, high-quality foam. The original covers have been dry-cleaned. They are in excellent vintage condition, retaining depth of colour and full structural integrity.
A beautiful combination of minimalism and comfort, they would perfectly complement our Super-Elliptical dining table, by Piet Hein for Fritz Hansen.
