About this vintage design furniture
An eye-catching lounge chair, "Grand Repose" model, based on a design by Jean Prouvé and manufactured by Tecta in Germany around 1980. This iconic piece is made of high quality chrome-plated metal with black leather upholstery. About the designer
Jean PROUVE
1901 - 1984Jean Prouvé (1901-1984) was a French designer and builder. Born in Nancy, he began working in his father's iron workshop before studying art and design at the École de Nancy. In the 1920s, he began designing metal furniture and founded his own company, Ateliers Jean Prouvé, in 1923.
