Vintage glazed ceramic candy box, France 1940

Rare large round Art Deco bonbonnière on feet in enamelled ceramics said cloisonné of the Faïenceries et Emaux de Longwy realized around 1940. The lid is decorated with a colored bird on a branch, on a light blue background. The cream decoration is decorated with friezes gilded with 21-carat gold. The Longwy factory has hundreds of years of tradition, but their golden age is clearly the Art Deco period from the 1920s to the 1940s. A collector's item, very decorative, and in superb vintage condition. Reference : 244455
