Classically typical rug from the 1960s. High quality velvet with traditional "elephant foot" pattern in red tones.Features:- Afghan carpet- hand knotted- about 40,000 knots per m2- age 50-60 years- 100 virgin wool- Made in Afghanistan Good condition with slight signs of use.All our carpets are cleaned in a professional laundry. The first step of the cleaning process is to carefully pat the carpet to remove any dust and mites. The subsequent pre-wash with a pH-neutral soap will remove stains. For the main wash, the carpet is carefully hand washed - a special soap protects the fibers and preserves the natural wool grease of the carpet. The first dehydration takes place by means of mechanical pressing and spinning, to then let the carpets dry in a constant air circulation.
