About this vintage design furniture
The Luxo (derived from the Latin word lux, meaning light) lamp was designed by Jacob Jacobsen (norway) in 1937. This is an original architect and designer’s lamp – a unique design, ingenious lighting properties and a flexible spring balanced arm. A fine example of how quality, stylish and playful design produce a product of long-lasting popularity. The Pixar animation studios use the Luxo as a symbol. This Pixar lamp is a classic because it is initially very stable and it is very flexible. The stability comes from the heavy base, the flexibility comes from the springs and hinges. You can direct the light from the lamp wherever you want with the Luxo L2 desk lamp. This square foot in particular is very rare. Pixar Luxo L2 desk lamp by Jacob Jacobsen – special Scandinavian Design.
