Model 10 suitcase typewriter manufactured by the East German company Erika. This model was produced in the 1950s. The Erika company was the basis and inspiration for the production of many other machines such as Optima, Prasident, Aztecs, CBM, Robotron etc. The 10 series machines are an irrefutable model of a typewriter and are considered the canon of industrial design. Erika is one of the most notable inscription machine manufacturing companies in history, and the Series 10 machines can be found as exhibits at many museums of technology around the world. The specimen is in very good condition, with slight traces of use. The machine is operational, it only requires replacement of the belt, which has already dried out due to its age.
