Vintage pop Art lamp for Doria Leuchten, Germany 1960s
About this vintage design furniture
This is an extremely rare and beautiful XL Pop Art floor or table lamp composed of a weighted stainless steel hemisphere and a hemisphere in white blown glass made in Germany in the 1960s. The lamp base is easy to move around but is solid and firm as it stands. Even unlit this lamp has a amazing effect. DORIA Werke (1948-1986) was one of Germany’s renowned lighting companies. They made an amazing number of lamps beetween the 1960s and closure in 1986. Doria Leuchten received over 30 awards for their designs, including the prestigious IF Design Award for many times. Most of the designs have been done by Herr Dr. Wilhelm Braun-Feldweg award winning industrial designer. We assume this rare floorlamp is also one of his designs. The lamp has a E27 screw fitting which also allows you to place led lamps in it.
