About this vintage design furniture
Yellow armchair set designed by Gijs van der Sluis by van Der Sluis Steel Furniture, Netherlands 1960s. This mid-century set has been reupholstered with new foam and yellow fabric from De Ploeg (ploegwool 67100Wv) and is therefore again in very good condition. The frame shows normal signs of use and wear, but it is still in perfect condition, solid and sturdy. Dimensions: h x w x d 72 x 62 x 64 cm and the seat height is 38 cm. Material: Metal (steel bar), teak afro (armrest) and Ploeg fabric covering. Color: yellow and black. Source: van der Sluis Steel Furniture Culemborg 1961 catalog, page 17. Price is for the set of two.

About the designer
Gijs VAN DER SLUIS
Geert Van Der Sluis (1941-2008) was a Dutch designer specializing in office furniture. He studied furniture design at the Groningen School of Art in the Netherlands, where he later taught for several years.
