Round coffee table in teak, designed by Peter HVIDT & Orla MOLGAARD-NIELSEN for France & Søn from 1956. Made in Denmark. Upper board in solid teak, lower board in teak with rattan canning and brass brackets. In good vintage condition with minor marks of wear.

Peter HVIDT & Orla MOLGAARD NIELSEN
Hvidt & Mølgaard Nielsen is a mid-20th-century Danish design duo consisting of Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard Nielsen. Peter Hvidt was born in Copenhagen in 1916 and studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts before working as a designer for various companies. Orla Mølgaard Nielsen was born in Copenhagen in 1907 and also studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, before working as an architect and designer.
