About this vintage design furniture
Large iconic Austrian midcentury tree trunk table designed by Carl Auböck and manufactured in Werkstätte Auböck Vienna in the 1950s. This fantastic piece is made of a large shaped and beautiful grained Walnut tree trunk wood top which is blackened on the underside and mounted on three brass pipe legs with their original rubber shoes. The brass legs are marked "Made in Austria" and numbered with "48". Also the top is numbered on its underside -17 ( ). Each of Auböck’s tables are unique, one of a kind masterpieces and as such no two are ever the same

About the designer
AUBÖCK Karl
Karl Auböck was an Austrian designer who was born in Vienna in 1924 and died there in 1985. He was the son of Karl Auböck Senior, a famous woodcarver.
