About this vintage design furniture
Sideboard designed in the 1960s by the British firm White & Newton Portsmouth. Made of teak wood, it has a very straight-lined design. The piece is clearly influenced by the design of the Danish sideboards of the period, with the hidden finger pulls on the drawers and doors and the curvature of the front edge standing out. At the back of the top, a reverse curve forms a small bib, rounding off the exquisite design of the sideboard. The left half of the sideboard has a bar cabinet with a folding door and three drawer units. On the right half, two opposite doors open to leave a storage space with a central shelf. It is in impeccable condition after having been restored and finished with colourless matt varnish and two coats of teak oil.
